ROLE OVERVIEW

Astrodyne TDI is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for receiving and inspecting freight, pulling orders, packaging merchandise, scheduling carrier pickups, completing inventory counts, and processing warehouse transactions. The successful candidate will help meet customer delivery requirements without compromising safety, compliance, or quality.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Inspect incoming and outgoing freight for accuracy and condition.
• Process receipts and store merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
• Assemble packaging materials and package merchandise according to instructions.
• Schedule shipment pickup appointments with carriers.
• Pull and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Perform inventory counts and support inventory accuracy.
• Complete warehouse data entry and key daily transactions.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with internal departments to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Follow all company safety, compliance, and quality standards.
  
  

WHAT YOU BRING - REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent years of direct work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift operating experience with sit-down and/or stand-up equipment.
• Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to complete data entry and warehouse transactions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to work onsite in Hackettstown, New Jersey.
  
  

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to lift and move packages safely.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience supporting shipping, receiving, inventory control, or order fulfillment.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial warehouse environment.
  
  

PAY RANGE

$18.00-$19.00 per hour. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and business considerations.
