Laboratory Technician
Astro Chemical is seeking a dependable, hands‑on Laboratory Technician to join our Quality Control Team. Lab Technicians perform quality control processes that support Astro’s product manufacturing operations. In this role, you will learn and apply epoxy chemistries, test methods, and quality control practices outlined in company procedures. Clear, effective communication, collaboration, and cross‑functional teamwork are essential to success in this position.
You will interact regularly with the manufacturing, packaging, and shipping teams and play an important role in day‑to‑day operations. We are looking for someone who is safety‑minded, detail‑oriented, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
This full‑time, on‑site, day‑shift position is ideal for someone looking to begin or grow their career in an industrial laboratory setting. The role plays a key part in ensuring our products meet quality specifications. Astro Chemical’s specialty products are used in demanding applications across the power generation, aerospace, and electrical industries.
Responsibilities
- Supporting new product development and formulation work
- Maintaining the laboratory, general cleanliness, records, and files
- Supporting manufacturing to enable efficient production and troubleshooting
- Assisting in the operation of analytical instrumentation
- Assisting in the creation of product technical data sheets
- Learning the company's technology (product formulations, raw materials)
- Building job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications

Qualifications
- Associates Degree (2yrs.) in Chemistry or equivalent analytical work experience in a laboratory setting
- Appropriate experience using Microsoft Office tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliability, punctuality, and integrity
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong commitment to safety and cleanliness
- Ability to adapt calmly to changing priorities
Schedule
- Generally, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Full-time, on-site, in person
