Pay Rate Low: 24.00 | Pay Rate High: 28.00

Location: Trumbull, CT (Onsite)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $24–$28/hour

Position Overview

The Production Planner is responsible for developing, managing, and executing production schedules to ensure customer demand and delivery deadlines are consistently met. This role collaborates cross-functionally to align production plans with inventory, capacity, and material availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with sales forecasts and customer demand
• Create manufacturing plans based on resource capacity, inventory targets, and business needs
• Review MRP outputs and release work orders to support production requirements
• Monitor schedules and proactively resolve exceptions or disruptions
• Partner with Purchasing to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components
• Collaborate with Production and Operations teams to ensure alignment and execution of plans
• Maintain accurate documentation for reporting, traceability, and audit purposes
• Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and quarterly production schedules
• Update and maintain procedures in accordance with business system requirements
• Work with global planning teams to manage and adjust safety stock levels
• Ensure appropriate inventory coverage across distribution centers
• Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
• Support additional planning or operational initiatives as needed
  
  

Qualifications

Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in materials planning, production planning, or logistics
  
  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, or a related field
  
  

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and resolve issues under pressure
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency in MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
• APICS certification preferred
  
  

Work Environment

• Primarily office-based with extended periods of computer work
• Occasional time spent on the production floor and in warehouse areas
