Lab Technician in Central Service -I (Assistant)

Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (initial); rotating days off; flexibility required

Type: Contract

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field
• Experience: Prior lab or materials handling experience strongly preferred
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Perform washing, wrapping, and sterilization of lab equipment
• Load/unload autoclaves and handle decontamination of waste
• Maintain accurate records (charts, logs, documentation)
• Clean work areas in accordance with GMP and SOP standards
• Operate equipment and handle routine lab setups
• Work safely with hazardous materials (e.g., isopropyl alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, phenolic disinfectants, oxidizers)
  
  

Additional Details

• Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all company safety policies
• Report any non-routine events or anomalies during task execution
• Department operates 7 days a week – flexibility for rotating shifts and potential schedule changes is essential
• This is a material handler-style role, not a research position
