We are seeking a Lab Equipment Maintenance Technician for our client, a renowned leader in biotechnology who is revolutionizing the use of living cells to create groundbreaking biologics. The ideal candidate will have GMP experience.

Type: Contract

Location: West Greenwich, RI

Shift: M-F 8AM-5PM (Fully onsite)

Responsibilities

• Execute routine work orders and provide reliable equipment support for QC laboratories.
• Troubleshoot and maintain analytical benchtop and laboratory instruments.
• Lead procurement of new laboratory equipment, including obtaining quotes and managing vendor relationships.
• Own change controls for installation, replacement, or upgrades of QC equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish validation requirements and change control strategy.
• Plan and implement equipment projects on time and on budget.
• Provide oversight of vendor preventive maintenance activities.
• Create new assets and schedule preventive maintenance in Maximo.
• Support lifecycle replacement planning, including end-user requirement gathering and vendor coordination.
• Ensure completion of all tasks in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED
• 2-4 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, with hands-on knowledge of GMP and GDP
• Ability to follow SOPs
