What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector (2nd Shift) position at Astrix Technology Group?
We are seeking a Quality Inspector to support quality assurance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for inspecting products, identifying defects, conducting quality checks, and ensuring compliance with company standards.
Pay: $19/hr $0.75 shift differential (2nd shift)
Location: Roanoke, VA
Schedule:
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Some weekends required (potentially every other for overtime)
Training:
- 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- No shift differential during training
Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications
- Conduct quality checks and document findings
- Review and complete inspection and test documentation
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain accurate quality records and reports
- Identify issues and recommend process improvements
- Support production teams to ensure consistent product quality
- Assist with additional tasks and projects as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing or quality inspection (preferred)
- Experience working in a team-oriented environmen
