Material Coordinator

Our client, a world-leading medical device company focused on improving lives through innovative, consumer-centered solutions, is seeking a Material Coordinator. Location: Trumbull, CT (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: Contract (6 months only)
$24 - $28/hr

Key Responsibilities-

• Manage late purchase orders, identify root causes, and drive recovery actions (pull-ins, split shipments, approved premium freight).
• Expedite open POs to align with production schedules and safety stock requirements.
• Confirm supplier order acknowledgements and maintain accurate ERP/MRP records.
• Track inbound shipments and escalate delays promptly.
• Serve as primary contact for suppliers, addressing past-due orders, backorders, and at-risk materials.
• Re-engage dormant or low-activity suppliers to restore supply continuity.
• Partner with internal teams to prioritize critical materials and mitigate shortages.
• Maintain and share shortage and expedite reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree
• 3 years in Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials, or Production Planning in manufacturing or distribution
• Experience expediting POs and managing supplier performance
• ERP/MRP proficiency (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Infor, etc.)
• Strong Excel/Sheets skills (pivots, lookups, filters)
• Excellent communication, organization, and sense of urgency
