Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Associate

Our client, a leading biopharma organization, is seeking a Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Associate to support pilot-scale process development and laboratory operations. This is a hands-on role working with cell culture and downstream purification processes in a team-based laboratory environment.

Schedule:
1st Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Type: Contract
Location: West Greenwich, RI (100% onsite)
Rate: $27.00 – $27.50/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Support execution of cell culture, harvest, and downstream purification studies using pilot-scale equipment (up to 300L), including bioreactors, chromatography systems, and filtration units.
• Perform routine laboratory operations such as Clean-In-Place (CIP), Steam-In-Place (SIP), media and buffer preparation, sampling, and in-process testing using laboratory analyzers.
• Operate and maintain automated and computer-controlled biopharmaceutical equipment while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Document experimental data and process information in accordance with good documentation practices (GDP).
• Assist with troubleshooting of processes and equipment, as well as minor maintenance and system upkeep.
• Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and inventory, including daily sanitization and supply management.
• Support material management activities such as sample handling, storage, test submission, and shipping coordination.
• Follow laboratory safety standards and perform safety evaluations to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate within a team environment to execute experiments and analyze data using scientific principles.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, etc.) OR 3 years of releveant experience (HS diploma minimum required)

Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with pilot-scale or large-scale cell culture or downstream purification processes
• Experience with automated or computer-controlled biopharmaceutical equipment
