Position Summary
The Forward Logistics Technician I is responsible for receiving, tracking, staging, and distributing IT equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records. This role supports the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets by ensuring timely hardware deployment, inventory accuracy, and exceptional customer service in line with Astreya and client standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming IT hardware shipments.
- Pick, pack, stage, and prepare equipment for deployment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and asset tracking.
- Perform inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Coordinate hardware deliveries, returns, and shipments.
- Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and hardware refresh projects.
- Update inventory and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Maintain warehouse organization and comply with safety and security procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet SLAs and operational goals.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in logistics, inventory, warehouse, or IT asset management.
- Basic knowledge of IT hardware and asset lifecycle management.
- Experience with inventory or ticketing systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an IT managed services or enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, or ERP systems.
- ITIL Foundation or CompTIA A certification is a plus.
