Billing Coordinator – Join Our Team at Astra Behavioral Health
Astra Behavioral Health is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Billing Coordinator who understands the ins and outs of the revenue cycle and takes pride in getting claims processed accurately and efficiently.
This is not an entry-level role—we’re looking for someone who has real experience navigating insurance billing, resolving denials, and keeping revenue moving.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be a key part of our billing team, helping ensure services across our outpatient and day treatment programs are billed correctly and paid timely.
You’ll:
- Submit and manage insurance claims from start to finish
- Work denials, rejections, and appeals
- Follow up on outstanding claims and aging accounts
- Verify insurance eligibility and support front office teams
- Handle patient and payer billing inquiries
- Assist with provider credentialing and payer enrollments
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of medical billing experience (required)
- Strong understanding of claims, denials, and insurance follow-up
- Experience with clearinghouses (Waystar or similar preferred)
- Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Points For:
- CPB, CPC, or CCS certification
- Experience in behavioral health billing
