Key Responsibilities
Surveillance: Conducts systematic, ongoing, and timely collection, analysis, and interpretation of surveillance data.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitors microbiology results, patient charts, and diagnostic reports to identify, investigate, and classify infection trends.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensures facility compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements, including NHSN data entry.
Outbreak Investigation: Identifies potential infection sources and implements control measures during outbreaks or sentinel events.
Policy Development: Develops and updates evidence-based infection prevention policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
Education & Consultation: Educates staff on infection control principles and acts as a resource for best practices.
Environmental Rounds: Conducts site inspections (rounding) to monitor compliance and identify environmental risks (e.g., sterilization, disinfection).
This is a Permanent position based out of Honolulu, HI.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49.52 - $64.42/hr.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (RN), Microbiology, Epidemiology, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous clinical experience in acute care settings is typically required.
- Certification: Certification in Infection Control (CIC)
