🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
🏗 Project Accounting & Job Costing
- Track, analyze, and report construction job costs, backlog, and retainage
- Maintain accurate job cost and equipment costing records
- Support month-end and year-end close
- Process vendor and subcontractor invoices efficiently
- Manage compliance documentation including W-9s, COIs, lien waivers, and warranties
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Prepare and reconcile monthly contract billing for $10–15M in revenue
- Issue client invoices and manage collections follow-up
- Maintain labor billing rates and intercompany billing entries
- Support insurance renewals, audits, and credit applications
- Manage compliance reporting, contractor prequalification, and submissions through ISN/Highwire
Must-Have Skills
- Construction accounting and job costing experience
- Strong QuickBooks Desktop proficiency
- Experience with contract billing and cash flow management
- Knowledge of AP/AR processes
- Comfortable supporting month-end and year-end close
- Associate’s degree in Accounting (or related field)
- General ledger experience
- Exposure to certified payroll, union payroll, and union benefits
- Competitive pay up to $40/hour
