Job Description
This position plays a crucial role in supporting the monthly accounting close process while collaborating with various FP&A teams. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and execution of the monthly accounting close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Support month-end close and post-close activities, including preparation of various journal entries across multiple Finance functions.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations across multiple Finance functions.
- Ensure operational and process compliance with applicable accounting policies, US GAAP, and related internal controls.
- Provide accounting support by working closely with key functional finance personnel.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
- Proficiency in journal entries, month-end close, and balance sheet analysis.
- Experience in process improvement and analyzing accruals across multiple functions.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and related internal controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating pivot tables, vlookups, advanced formulas, and data manipulations.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 5 years of experience with US GAAP functions within a large organization.
- 5 years of experience with journal entries and reconciling liabilities, prepaids & accruals for month-end close.
- 3 years of experience with forecasting and collaborating with FP&A.
- 2 years of experience with SAP since 2020 or more recent.
- Experience in the life sciences or pharma industry is a plus.
