Job Description
The Senior Accountant position is an onsite, full-time role responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services. This role involves assisting in financial management and reporting responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Controller in financial management and reporting responsibilities.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations.
- Prepare month-end financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with general ledger, month-end, and financial statement preparation.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, macros, and V-lookups.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of accounting experience.
- Experience with database software, such as SQL, is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, including Innovative/AS400, is helpful.
- Knowledge of the trucking industry is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong decision-making and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with all departments within the organization.
