Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients aligned with strategic vision.
- Identify, pursue, and secure new project opportunities to increase close rates and revenue growth.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies and forecasts (weekly, quarterly, and annual).
- Lead and support project pursuit efforts, including proposal development and RFQ/RFP responses.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
- Meet with industry stakeholders and decision-makers to stay informed on market trends.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
- Prepare and present tailored solutions that meet client needs.
- Ensure accurate and timely CRM reporting and opportunity tracking.
- Coordinate prequalification processes for clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Develop strategic partnerships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Support preconstruction efforts and participate in project planning.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Maintain dependable attendance and complete additional duties as assigned.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with multiple departments.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, steel fabrication, and project delivery.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
- Capable of developing high-level project budgets and solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and CRM systems.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and sound decision-making.
- Competitive, goal-oriented mindset with a drive to succeed.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction, steel, or business development.
- Prior leadership or management training is preferred.
