The Project Manager partners closely with Finance, Operations, Venues, and other corporate functions to implement scalable processes, optimize systems, support enterprise resource planning and HR/payroll transitions, and drive adoption and performance at the venue level.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning and implementation of finance and operations projects from inception through completion, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and budget requirements.
- Support enterprise resource planning (ERP) transitions by developing and managing detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Support HR and payroll transition projects and activities, including detailed planning, tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
- Assist project owners and stakeholders in defining and delivering project goals, objectives, and scope.
- Manage and communicate consolidated project status, risks, KPIs, and action plans to stakeholders and leadership.
- Identify process inefficiencies across a growing, multi-entity organization and implement scalable solutions to support long-term growth.
- Support merchant services and point-of-sale rollouts, ensuring utilization of preferred vendors and compliance with Treasury and Venue Finance requirements.
- Support customer relationship management and event booking system transitions, including user engagement and vendor activation.
- Contribute to the activation of new venue openings and venue transitions by supporting implementation and optimization of financial systems such as ERP, Workday, and reporting tools.
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for finance and operations initiatives.
- Track project progress, manage risks, and provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with finance and operational priorities.
- Assist in drafting standard operating procedures, business requirements, and training materials to support successful implementation and adoption.
- Drive projects through standard operating processes, monitor activities against plan, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools that support data-driven decision-making across finance and operations.
- Improve data accuracy and consistency across financial systems and reporting environments.
- Manage project governance and transparency, ensuring clear documentation, communication, and accountability.
- Partner with Accounting, Operations, Venues, IT, and cross-functional teams to drive alignment and successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with the business on program and service rollouts, monitoring activation, cost, and recovery.
- Support the management of business reviews, including areas such as sustainability, security, and facilities.
- Respond to venues’ and clients’ inquiries regarding programs and services and assist program and project owners with the annual budgeting process.
- Drive change management efforts, including communication plans, stakeholder engagement, and training to support new systems and processes.
- Act as a liaison between Finance and other business functions to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
- Support work with venues, procurement, and network partnerships on key initiatives, capital improvements, and related reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in finance, accounting, consulting, or project management.
- 5 years of experience in project management, including roadmap development and execution.
- Experience implementing projects across a multi-unit or multi-entity organization.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to concurrently support large global deployments.
- Former accounting or finance leadership or controllership-level experience, or equivalent depth of financial expertise.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, including close, reporting, and controls.
- Working knowledge of various corporate and enterprise systems.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Workday, Oracle, or NetSuite (preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build complex models and reports.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a team environment with a high degree of professionalism.
- Consulting background, particularly in finance transformation or operations, is ideal.
- Experience with Dynamics 365, BlackLine, and HighRadius is a significant plus.
- Experience with change order management and project coordination in finance or transformation initiatives.
- background in multi-entity or high-growth environments is a plus.
- Experience with reporting tools and dashboard development is preferred.
- Exposure to merchant services, point-of-sale systems, customer relationship management, and event booking platforms is beneficial.
- Ability to partner with external integration and transformation partners to support large-scale initiatives.
- Comfort working across functions such as sustainability, security, facilities, procurement, and venue operations.
