Logistics Coordinator

Schedule is Mon - friday fully onsite, either 6:30-3pm or 8-4:30

Description

• Run weekly building, LTL, and door schedules. Enter data into weekly shipment schedules

• Using ERP system, print sales orders and picking tickets for distribution to production floor

• Using ERP and TMS systems, Enter LTL information, quote LTL rates, Create bills of lading for all outbound shipments

• Supply labels for all LTL shipments

• Solicit for and maintain carrier rates for shipments on weekly shipment schedule.

• Schedule carriers for daily shipment pickups

• Call customers to notify of shipment

• Field phone calls regarding shipment of materials, tracking shipments, etc.

• Compile information and create reports as needed

• Prepare paperwork for importing/exporting

• Scan documents using DocuWare

• Relay paperwork and order changes to the shipping floor

• Post/Ship orders in ERP system

• Greet truck drivers as they arrive

• Assist with projects as needed

• Work with carriers to address questions and resolve issues such as freight claims or delays

• Coordinate with customer service to research shipping issues

• Participate in process improvements/LEAN initiatives

• Other duties may be assigned

Skills & Qualifications

Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with multi-tasking skills and be detail oriented. Demonstrate logical and creative problem-solving techniques. Effective at both written and verbal communication. Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the flexibility to adapt to change and interruptions without losing efficiency or focus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
