Responsibilities
This position is 100% onsite, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role is based in an industrial construction supply setting rather than a traditional office environment, so candidates should be comfortable working in a more industrial, operations-focused facility. The work involves using QuickBooks and standard office tools in a setting that supports construction and manufacturing-related activities. The contract is initially for 6 months, with the potential to extend up to 9–12 months, though it is not highly likely to convert to a permanent role.

Responsibilities
- Process accounts receivable activities, including preparing, issuing, and tracking customer invoices, with a strong emphasis on manual invoicing.
- Manage accounts payable functions by reviewing, coding, and entering vendor bills and ensuring timely payments.
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in QuickBooks, including a small volume of journal entries.
- Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger balances.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records to support internal reporting and decision-making.
- Assist with general bookkeeping tasks such as posting transactions, matching payments, and resolving discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to clarify billing, payment, and account issues as they arise.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a dynamic industrial construction supply setting.
- Apply general accounting knowledge to support accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal processes.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping.
- Hands-on experience in either accounts payable or accounts receivable, with exposure to both strongly preferred.
- Proficiency using QuickBooks for daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Practical bookkeeping and accounting knowledge, including understanding of debits, credits, and basic journal entries.
- Ability to handle a significant volume of manual invoicing with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capability to learn new processes and systems quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate financial records.
- Experience working in a construction or manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Experience in an industrial or supply-focused business is beneficial.
- Comfort working with both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
