Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the activities of the Internal Audit Department.
- Ensure the system of internal control is functioning properly.
- Provide management with reasonable assurance of control system effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the legal department and report to legal counsel.
- Offer technical advice to management during their risk assessment process.
- Minimum of 6 years of audit or related experience, including supervisory and planning responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- Strong auditing skills and knowledge of risk assessment processes.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with staff and management at all levels.
- Management and team building abilities.
- Healthcare experience is preferred.
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Access.
