Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Project Manager who will play a crucial role in ensuring our company's expenses are accurately recorded in compliance with GAAP. The position involves project setup, reviewing reconciliations of large volume general ledger accounts, and supporting the rollout of self-distribution projects within the accounting group. The role requires collaboration with multiple business users to define project requirements and performing system testing from an accounting perspective.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and perform expense accruals at month-end to ensure accurate recording of company expenses according to GAAP.
• Work on project setup and review reconciliation of large volume general ledger accounts.
• Support self-distribution project rollout for the accounting group.
• Collaborate with multiple business users to define project requirements.
• Perform system testing from an accounting perspective.
• Act as a liaison for handling inventory adjustment exceptions.
• Identify and solve problems that may arise during a project.
• Apply principles of accounting to analyze and prepare financial information.
• Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches, developing solutions as needed.
• Participate in project design meetings and propose improvements if necessary.
• Utilize Excel for spreadsheet preparation, data download/upload, and process streamlining.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 4-5 years of accounting-related experience.
• CPA certification or CPA candidate.
• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, accounting procedures, concepts, and internal control processes.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills for producing reports and spreadsheets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction.
• System implementation or project experience is a plus.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
  
  

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Irving, TX.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
