Job Overview
We are looking for a visionary Microsoft Fabric Architect & Administrator to lead the transition into a unified, AI-ready data ecosystem. The ideal candidate bridges deep technical data engineering with strategic platform administration and will serve as the primary owner of the Microsoft Fabric tenant.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Governance
- Configure and audit tenant settings ensuring security compliance across the organization
- Monitor Fabric Capacity (F-SKUs) usage and implement scaling strategies to balance performance and cost
- Enforce fine-grained access control (RBAC), Row-Level Security (RLS), and Object-Level Security (OLS)
- Manage data discovery and lineage through Microsoft Purview for compliant data democratization
- Configure DLP policies to prevent unauthorized sharing or leakage of sensitive data
- Integrate Fabric with Azure Log Analytics for long-term auditing, trend analysis, and proactive monitoring
- Establish standards and conduct training for non-IT Power BI users in support of data governance programs
Architecture & Engineering
- Design and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) using Fabric Lakehouses and Warehouses
- Develop efficient orchestration patterns using Data Factory pipelines and Dataflows Gen2
- Optimize semantic models for DirectLake mode to enable near-real-time reporting
- Establish CI/CD deployment pipelines using Git integration across Dev, Test, and Production environments
- Design and manage all connectivity to MS Fabric including data load sources from SaaS providers
Must-Have Skills
- 10 years of experience in Data Architecture or Engineering
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience (or deep expertise in Power BI Azure Synapse / Databricks)
- Strong proficiency in PySpark/Notebooks, T-SQL, and DAX
- Proven experience designing OneLake architectures to break down departmental data silos
- Experience with Medallion Architecture, Delta Lake, and Spark-based data engineering
- Hands-on with Microsoft Purview, DLP policies, RBAC, RLS, OLS
- Strong knowledge of Data Factory pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Git-based CI/CD
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with offshore team coordination and client-facing communication
- Flexibility to work across time zones for hybrid delivery models
