Position Overview
Astek is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated Junior Project Manager to join our Project Management team. This position is responsible for supporting the successful execution of client projects from order entry through final delivery while working closely with sales representatives, designers, production staff, customer service, and warehouse teams.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. This role will primarily support clients operating under purchase order-based contracts and will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities Project Coordination
- Assist in managing client projects from initiation through completion.
- Process purchase orders and verify all project details for accuracy.
- Create and maintain project documentation, work orders, and job records.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate project requirements with production, design, customer service, and warehouse teams.
- Track project progress and communicate status updates to internal teams and clients.
- Assist with scheduling production and shipment timelines.
Client Support
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding project status, timelines, and order details.
- Review client purchase orders to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Assist in resolving client questions and project-related concerns.
- Coordinate approvals, revisions, and project changes when necessary.
- Maintain professional and responsive communication with clients and sales representatives.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Ensure project paperwork is complete, accurate, and properly filed.
- Assist with invoice review and order reconciliation.
- Maintain organized project records and documentation.
- Identify and escalate potential project risks or delays.
- Assist senior Project Managers with large-scale and high-priority projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Previous project coordination, customer service, operations, or administrative experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and business management software.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
