What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Associate position at ASSYST?
ASSYST is seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Associate to serve as the first point of contact for our Sterling, VA office. This position will welcome visitors, support employees and candidates, manage front desk activities, and provide general administrative and office support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors, candidates, clients, and business partners in a professional manner.
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls and respond to general inquiries.
- Manage visitor sign-in, office access, and front desk procedures.
- Coordinate conference rooms and support meetings and office events.
- Maintain front desk and common areas in an organized and professional manner.
- Monitor office supplies and coordinate replenishment as needed.
- Provide administrative support to HR, Recruiting, Operations, and other teams.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree is a plus.
- 1–3 years of experience in reception, front desk, office administration, or a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, friendly, and customer-service-oriented demeanor.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Prior experience in an IT services, government contracting, or professional services environment is a plus.
