Role Description The Program Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Starkville, MS, supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of ASSURE programs and projects. This position coordinates schedules, meetings, and deliverables across partner institutions, industry collaborators, and internal teams, ensuring milestones are met and documentation is accurate and up to date. The Program Coordinator assists the Program Managers with reporting, budget tracking, and compliance requirements, while maintaining organized records of contracts, agreements, and project outcomes. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to stakeholder inquiries, preparing presentations and status updates, and supporting events, workshops, and site visits. The role also involves maintaining effective communication channels, identifying potential issues or risks, and collaborating with leadership to improve processes and program outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or other technical field.
- Three (3) years of related experience in project coordination/management.
- Demonstrated skills in program management and program development, including coordinating multiple initiatives, tracking progress, and supporting long-term program goals.
- Strong project management capabilities, such as organizing tasks, managing timelines, and aligning resources to meet project milestones.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders in higher education, industry, and government.
- Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Office, project management software) and the ability to prepare clear reports and presentations.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in research, higher education, aerospace, or UAS-related programs is preferred but not required.
