If yes, how you will contribute to the team:
As the Home Health Liaison/Director of Business Development (DBD), you will plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the home health program's marketing and public relations programs and activities in order to maintain and increase patient census. You will provide the community with information relative to our home health program, its programs, services, practices, promote the home health program and its services to outside sources such as physicians, discharge planners, business members of the community, churches and schools providing adult education.
Our Director of Business Development (DBD)/Home Health Liaison's maintain a thorough knowledge of home health program's admission requirements, services and programs, and admissions policies and procedures. You will work with the interdisciplinary team to conduct tours for members of the community as well as families, conducts pre-admission interviews with prospective patient/guarantors and explains all services of the nursing home health program.
Must haves:
- Thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, mass media, advertising, community relations, etc., as they relate to home health program operations
- Ability to make direct calls, and to organize and deliver public presentations
- Ability to establish, implement and maintain effective public relations program and other related materials
- Thorough understanding of healthcare reimbursement programs
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to home health
Nice to have:
- 2-4 years’ experience in marketing/public relations in health care, home health or hospice program with previous experience
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college with specialization in marketing, communications or equivalent
- Experience with gaining contracts is a PLUS!
