Job Summary
The Post-Closing Coordinator is responsible for managing the post-closing review and quality control process for all mortgage loan files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with company, investor, and regulatory requirements. This role conducts thorough audits of closed loan packages, reconciles of discrepancies, and works proactively to obtain missing or corrected documentation by working closely with title companies and internal coworkers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the insurance process for government loans, including FHA, VA, and RD, ensuring required documentation and data are complete and accurate
- Manage all aspects of MERS administration, including loan registration, transfers, deactivations, batch acceptance, daily monitoring, and monthly reconciliation reporting with DMI
- Update servicing records for loans paid in full, including documenting payoff reasons and submitting required documentation to DMI
- Build and maintain servicing files for investors and upload required documentation to applicable investors and servicing systems
- Review investor missing document and deficiency reports and coordinate the timely delivery of outstanding documentation, including but not limited to goodbye letters and MERS change confirmations
- Reconcile DMI foreclosure reports and ensure required notifications and reporting are completed with GNMA, as applicable
- Manage conventional mortgage insurance reporting and document delivery, including completion of MI company reconciliation reports, spreadsheets, and fulfillment of document requests
Education Requirements and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Very proficient computer skills, with the ability to utilize software effectively

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
