Duties
- Assist attorneys in preparing appellate briefs, petitions, motions, and other legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail
- Manage case files and document review processes utilizing document management systems.
- Organize and maintain case calendars, deadlines, and court filings to ensure timely submissions in appellate courts and post-conviction proceedings
- Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to gather relevant information for case development
- Draft summaries, reports, and correspondence that clearly articulate case issues and strategies
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, proofreading legal documents, transcription, and maintaining accurate records of case activities
Requirements
- Paralegal experience with a strong background in litigation support and legal case management
- Familiarity with appellate procedures and post-conviction processes across state or federal courts
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines
