Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:- Responding to written and oral inquiries from applicants, recipients, citizens, government officials or non-profit organizations; AND
- Serving as a reviewer, evaluator, or panelist and conducting reviews and scoring of funding applications; AND
- Collaborating with federal agencies, state and local government or non-profit or other entities working with homeless.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.

This position is located in the Office of Community Planning and Development (CPD). CPD seeks to develop viable communities by promoting integrated approaches that provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expand economic opportunities for low and moderate-income persons. The primary means toward this end is the development of partnerships among all levels of government and the private sector, including for-profit and non-profit organizations.
As a/an Supervisory SNAPS Specialist, you will:
- Serve in a supervisory capacity and supports SNAPS Division Directors, the Deputy Director and Director.
- Provide oversight and direction in the execution of the various programs implemented by the SNAPS office including Continuum of Care (CoC) program, Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program, and various other special initiatives.
- Provide support to Division Directors, SNAPS leadership, and OSN leadership by reviewing and approving work products including responses to inquiries, official correspondence, technical assistance products, guidance documents, NOFO's, SOP's and other documents.
Salary : $143,913
