Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Meetings & Program Manager
Due to new client acquisition, Association Acumen, LLC, is seeking an experienced Meetings & Program Manager for a 4,000 dynamic international nonprofit professional membership organization. The successful applicant will have 3-5 years experience planning large nonprofit annual conferences, have excellent organizational and logistical skills, and be familiar with best practices in the industry. No out of state resumes please. This is a hybrid position with a two days work from home benefit available after completion of the three-month probationary period. Annual Conference
- Serve as contact for Conference & Sponsorship Committee; develop agendas; produce minutes
- Set, direct, and maintain operational timeline; develop Annual Conference budget
- Conduct site visits; negotiate hotel and vendor contracts; handle hotel logistics
- Oversee and coordinate educational program development in conjunction with leaders
- Provide speaker management and speaker training
- Establish online registration portal; manage registration
- Provide content and direction on marketing messaging for website and social media
- Manage social events, tours, and golf outings; handle awards selection process
- Place food and beverage and A/V orders; prepare signage
- Prepare program, sponsorship/exhibitor prospectus, eblasts and program evaluations
- Assist with management of the exhibitor and sponsor solicitation process; handle logistics
- Manage online registration, badge and registration packet assembly; prepare emergency plans
- Staff in-person annual conference; manage exhibitors onsite; prepare post-meeting reports
Other Meeting Management
- Handle board meeting logistics for in-person meetings outside of the Annual Conference
Education & Certification Programs
- Manage and promote certifications and recertifications; maintain database, applications
- Track credits, facilitate exam set-up, issue certificates
- Provide staff support for Education & Certification Committee
- CEU Credentialing tracking and coordination
Any other duties or projects as requested. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Skills/Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor's Degree
- CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) or CAE (Certified Association Executive) preferred
- Have strong meeting planning and organizational skills
- Open to continuous evolution personally and professionally
- Have ability to build upon established best practices; handle multiple demands and priorities
- Demonstrate creative, flexible and sound analytical skills in complex problem-solving situations
- Have demonstrated work ethic, great communication skills (both written and spoken)
- Enjoy being thoroughly organized; excellent attention to detail
- Be a self-starter in a fast-paced ‘hit the ground running’ environment
