Designs, develops, implements and tests the embedded software for medical device products.
Essential Functions:
The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Develop embedded applications on an embedded Linux or RTOS environment for products (ARM processor)
- Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle
- Work with the team to architect, design, and verify secure functionality.
- Stay current with state-of-the-art technologies, tools, and techniques for software development
- Experience developing with Python and C/C is required
- Experience with developing for Linux and other embedded RTOS
- Experience with Database technologies and SQL is a plus (MySQL or other)
- Positive attitude and affinity for teamwork, logic, innovation, initiative and self-sufficiency
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with SDLC tools, including bug tracking, code repository, and requirements tracing
- Medical device development is a plus, but not required
Required/ Preferred Education and Experience:
- BS degree or equivalent in Engineering or related science or mathematics discipline
