The Aesthetic Nurse Injector is responsible for providing safe, high-quality aesthetic services to patients, with a primary focus on injectable treatments and comprehensive aesthetic consultations. This position evaluates patient needs, develops individualized treatment plans, performs injectable procedures within the scope of licensure and training, and provides exceptional patient care and education.

The Aesthetic Nurse Injector works collaboratively with providers and the aesthetic team to promote clinical excellence, patient safety, positive outcomes, and growth of the aesthetic practice.

Patient Care & Clinical Services

  • Conduct comprehensive aesthetic consultations and assess patient goals, medical history, and treatment appropriateness.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient anatomy, goals, and clinical assessment.
  • Administer aesthetic injectable treatments, including neuromodulators and dermal fillers, in accordance with licensure, training, practice protocols, and provider directives.
  • Perform treatments safely and effectively while maintaining appropriate infection-control practices.
  • Recognize and appropriately respond to adverse reactions, complications, and emergency situations.
  • Provide pre- and post-treatment instructions and ensure patients understand expected outcomes and potential risks.
  • Maintain a high standard of patient comfort, privacy, safety, and professionalism.

Clinical Documentation & Compliance

  • Accurately document consultations, treatments, products, lot numbers, injection sites, dosages, and patient responses in the medical record.
  • Obtain and maintain required pre- and post-treatment clinical photographs according to practice standards.
  • Follow all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain required licensure, certifications, continuing education, and competency requirements.
  • Follow medication, product storage, inventory, infection-control, and safety procedures.
  • Report complications, adverse events, medication errors, and other clinical concerns promptly and appropriately.

Patient Experience

  • Establish trust and rapport with patients through professional communication and individualized care.
  • Educate patients regarding treatment options, realistic expectations, risks, benefits, and alternatives.
  • Provide appropriate follow-up and assist patients with post-treatment questions or concerns.
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming patient experience from consultation through follow-up.
  • Address patient concerns promptly and escalate clinical concerns to the appropriate provider or leader.

Practice Development

  • Support the growth of the aesthetic practice through excellent patient care and service.
  • Educate patients on appropriate aesthetic services and skincare products based on clinical needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of current aesthetic treatments, products, techniques, and industry trends.
  • Participate in training, staff meetings, promotional events, and educational activities as requested.
  • Collaborate with the aesthetic team to identify opportunities to improve patient retention, satisfaction, and overall service delivery.

Inventory & Equipment

  • Monitor injectable and aesthetic product inventory and communicate supply needs.
  • Maintain appropriate storage and handling of medications and aesthetic products.
  • Ensure treatment rooms and equipment are clean, stocked, organized, and prepared for patient care.
  • Report damaged, expired, or compromised products and equipment according to practice procedures.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Current and unrestricted RN license in the state(s) where services are provided.
  • Appropriate clinical experience in aesthetics, dermatology, plastic surgery, or a related specialty.
  • Completion of recognized aesthetic injectable training appropriate to the services performed.
  • Demonstrated competency in injectable procedures before performing treatments independently.
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, pharmacology, infection control, and patient safety.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with neuromodulators and dermal fillers.
  • Experience performing aesthetic consultations and developing treatment plans.
  • Dermatology, plastic surgery, or medical aesthetics experience.
  • Experience with skincare products and aesthetic devices.
  • Established understanding of facial anatomy and injection safety.
  • Completion of advanced aesthetic injectable training or certification.
