Outside Salesperson
(Exempt)
Compensation: Weekly Salary plus a potential monthly incentive
DEFINITION:
Under the direction of the sales manager, the outside sales representative is primarily responsible for making sales calls directly, and in person, to and from small and large truck fleets, dealers, leasing companies and repair companies to sell truck, trailer, and equipment parts. Duties include maintaining existing customer relationships while increasing sales and opening new accounts during work hours.
WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday (in scheduled rotation) 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
Essential Duties:
- Strive to make 20 customer visits per day
- Assist customers with parts, returns, warranties, and credits
- Meet customers' needs by recommending relevant products and services
- Prepare cost estimates
- Pick up parts and cores from customers
- Ensure orders are delivered as specified and that the customer is satisfied
- Resolve customer discrepancies
- Routinely visit customers on-site
- Distribute promotional materials
- Increase customer base
Additional Duties:
- Flexibility to fill in where necessary to ensure seamless customer service
- Inventory management
- Occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
REQUIREMENTS:
License:
Must have a valid driver’s license with 5-year history clear of any major violations
Education:
High School Diploma
Experience: 1 years
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Solutions oriented
- Professional appearance and demeanor relative to position
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Bi-lingual fluency a plus
