This role involves the mooring and unmooring of seagoing vessels, operating winches and capstans, and maintaining the equipment and department's vehicle. Responsibilities
Mooring and unmooring seagoing vessels
Operating winches and capstans
Fueling equipment and mooring vehicles as necessary
Assisting in daily mooring operations
Reporting any issues with mooring vehicles to leadman and maintenance where necessary
Supporting company safety initiatives
Performing other duties as required
Qualifications
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Basic math skills
Ability to follow directions
Professionalism in radio communications
Some mooring or stevedoring knowledge is preferred
Proficiency in deck operations
Ability to work rotational shift work
Physical fitness to perform all essential physical demands of this job safely

Valid Driver’s License
Ability to attain TWIC certification
