Responsibilities
- Identify, stow, and sort cargo loaded or discharged from vessels into the terminal.
- Work closely with the Clerk-In-Charge to categorize and organize various cargoes in designated areas.
- Accurately document cargo details, including completing load lists, using scanners, and preparing tally sheets for production reports.
- Monitor and oversee the loading and unloading of trucks, barges, and railcars.
- Verify cargo counts, weights, measurements, marks, and dimensions.
- Ensure proper placement of cargo in staging areas to maintain efficient workflow.
- Support and adhere to company safety initiatives, operational directives, and policies.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in a maritime, industrial, or warehousing environment.
- Proficiency in English and basic math skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts.
- Physical ability to safely perform all essential job duties.
- Possession of a TWIC Card.
