Financial Analyst - Convent, LA

POSITION SUMMARY: The Financial Analyst will be responsible for advanced financial planning, analysis and projections for the company. He/she will analyze historical financial performance, project future financial performance, and support business decision making with ad-hoc analysis. Additionally, they may lead teams in accomplishing project goals that support the financial success of the company.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Develops, supports, and maintains analysis tools for use in business applications
• Advise leadership of the company on financial analysis results
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Analyze financial statements
• Develops organizational processes and process improvements
• Compares and analyzes actual results with plans and forecasts
• Creates financial analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques and recommending actions
• Reconciles and audits accounts as assigned
• Provides financial modeling, financial analysis, and valuation support for business projects
• Creates monthly financial analysis reports for review by business leadership
• Generate ad-hoc reporting on operational or financial performance
• Perform other duties as required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

3-5 years’ experience in the Finance and Accounting Industry preferred

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or related field

SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Expertise with Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge with Tableau Business Intelligence Software or Power BI
