POSITION SUMMARY: The Financial Analyst will be responsible for advanced financial planning, analysis and projections for the company. He/she will analyze historical financial performance, project future financial performance, and support business decision making with ad-hoc analysis. Additionally, they may lead teams in accomplishing project goals that support the financial success of the company.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develops, supports, and maintains analysis tools for use in business applications
- Advise leadership of the company on financial analysis results
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Analyze financial statements
- Develops organizational processes and process improvements
- Compares and analyzes actual results with plans and forecasts
- Creates financial analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques and recommending actions
- Reconciles and audits accounts as assigned
- Provides financial modeling, financial analysis, and valuation support for business projects
- Creates monthly financial analysis reports for review by business leadership
- Generate ad-hoc reporting on operational or financial performance
- Perform other duties as required
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years’ experience in the Finance and Accounting Industry preferred
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Expertise with Microsoft Excel
- Expertise with Microsoft Access
- Knowledge with Tableau Business Intelligence Software or Power BI
