What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ultrasound Technician-Women's Health Advantage position at Associated Surgeons and Physicians, LLC?
Women's Health Advantage is seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technician who is passionate about delivering comprehensive diagnostic studies while creating a positive and comfortable experience for our patients.
Essential Functions:
- Perform ultrasound procedures according to protocols outlined in the manual.
- Interact with patients and gather pertinent information related to their medical history.
- Inform patients about the procedure and provide clear explanations throughout the exam.
- Process images and compile reports.
- Submit reports to the physician for interpretation and assist with invasive procedures in the department.
- Practice sterile technique and handle blood and bodily fluids appropriately.
Hours Per Week:
- 40 hours (Five 8-hour shifts)
Employment Type:
- Full-Time
Education:
- 2 or 4 year degree in Sonography, Radiologic Technology
- Experience in OB/GYN Prefered
- ARDMS Registered in OB/GYN or Registry eligible
- Must complete Registry within 1 year of hire.
Licensure/Certifications:
- ARDMS OB/GYN - Must maintain active Registry and all applicable CE requirements.
