Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Plumbing Assistant. Work is currently in Henderson, Buncombe and Transylvania County. In this role, you will support our licensed plumber on new construction builds and residential/commercial repairs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with pipe installation, fitting, and assembly using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building codes to support plumbing system installation and maintenance
- Support the installation of plumbing systems in accordance with safety protocols and building regulations
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing plumbing systems
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, including power tool safety and site-specific safety protocols
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot plumbing issues and assist with system repairs or upgrades
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored after use
Requirements
- Previous plumbing experience
- Hands-on experience with construction plumbing, pipe threading, welding, and pipe installation
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety protocols related to construction sites
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites while adhering to safety standards

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 42.0 per week
