Field Service and Sales Representative

Associated Distributors is expanding field operations with opportunities to grow. We are hiring a part-time Field Service Representative to establish good working relationships with retailers we serve by placing orders, servicing, cleaning, and selling our products in the assigned territory.

Territory: Includes Elk City, Shattuck, Newkirk, Jay, and Shawnee (50-60 stores)

Weekly Mileage: 300-600 miles (depending on week)

Overnight Travel: 0-1 nights (depending on week)

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

· Order products for the retailer by utilizing an electronic hand-held device, or leave behind suggest order.

· Work independently to place products accurately with a high quality, clean, visual display

· Establish and maintain rapport with key store individuals while providing outstanding customer service

· Service a store route consisting of approximately 100-500 driving miles, depending on the week

· Update and maintain display assortment with best-selling products for each store

· Acquire new customer accounts in existing territory

· Drive sales by selling promotional displays to existing customers

· Manage store route planning in an efficient manner

· Travel extensively through assigned region

· Other duties as assigned

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

· Minimum of 1-year retail experience

· Route sales experience preferred

Physical and Working Environment:

· Working Hours: Up to 30 hours per week. Generally, between 8 AM – 5 PM with flexibility for business and personal needs (with Supervisor approval).

· Working Environment: Work usually performed in a retailer.

· Tools and Equipment Used: Computer, tablet, e-mail, phone, and other standard office equipment.

· Travel: Daily travel by automobile. Up to 25% overnight travel. Occasional airline travel for special projects.

· Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion; digital dexterity and hand/eye to operate equipment such as computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, supplier or employees remotely and in person; ability to travel by airplane or automobile.
