What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance/Code Enforcement Officer position at Associa?
A Maintenance/Code Enforcement Officer plays an active role in achieving long-term customer satisfaction in the context of Community Association relationships. Specific responsibilities will vary with designated communities and may include but are not limited to: Inspecting properties for maintenance, landscaping, safety, and compliance issues and accurately recording findings.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Notify responsible parties of code issues given in writing, by phone, in person and electronically.
- Respond to and investigate allegations of violations of codes to determine the validity of complaints and the appropriate course of action to mitigate issues.
- Investigate and enforce property codes within boundaries.
- Schedule and perform systematic property maintenance inspections to maintain or achieve minimum property standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures and forms.
- Knowledge of general maintenance requirements (documentation, safety, required reporting,
regulations, etc.) - Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.
- Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
- Knowledge of architectural plans and/or drawings at a proficient level.
- Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
- Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
- Professional customer service skills.
