Job Summary:
As a Caregiver at Assisting Hands, you'll provide compassionate and dependable custodial and personal care services to clients in their homes. Working under the direction of the Staffing Coordinator, you'll follow each client’s personalized Plan of Care to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment. Your role will be essential in supporting clients to live independently while ensuring they receive the care they need.

Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Qualifications:
- At least one (1) year of experience in home care, long-term care, or a similar setting is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a Clean & Safe Environment
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning bathrooms, living areas, and bedrooms.
- Assist with washing dishes, doing laundry, and other cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic living space.
- Ensure the environment is comfortable, organized, and conducive to the client’s well-being.

Provide Personal Care & Assistance
- Aid clients with daily personal care tasks, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, shaving, and transferring.
- Support mobility and assist with exercise routines as outlined in the Plan of Care.
- Assist with eating and other activities of daily living as needed.

Nutritional Support
- Help with meal preparation, serving, and feeding to ensure clients receive nutritious meals.
- Assist with meal planning and ensure dietary needs are met in accordance with the client’s health plan.

Monitor Client Health & Well-Being
- Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition to the Staffing Coordinator.
- Maintain accurate records of personal care activities, including vital signs, fluid intake/output, and other health metrics.

Support Mobility & Physical Activities
- Assist with the safe use of mobility aids (e.g., wheelchairs, walkers, hoyer lifts).
- Encourage and assist with prescribed physical exercises, such as range-of-motion activities.
- Teach and support family members with basic care routines and safety measures.

- Assist clients with self-administered medications, including:
- Retrieving, reading labels, and helping clients take medications as prescribed.

- Facilitating medication intake with water or other necessary items.

- Follow infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene, in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Working Hours:
- Hours vary based on client needs and assignments. Flexible shifts are available 24/7 depending on your availability. Please note that we cannot guarantee a fixed number of hours.
Salary : $16 - $18
