- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting
- Offer gentle redirection and emotional support for memory-related behaviors
- Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping
- Offer companionship and engagement through conversation or activities
- Give medication reminders and document all care
- Support clients safely with mobility and transfers
- Active Personal Care Aide license in the State of Virginia
- Prior experience working with dementia or Alzheimer’s clients (mild to severe stages preferred)
- Current CPR certification and negative TB screening
- Ability to pass a background check (per Virginia HCO regulations)
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance
- Able to lift at least 25 lbs. and assist safely with transfers
