Role Overview:
As a Weekend Caregiver at Assisting Hands of Greater Cleveland, you will be responsible for providing compassionate, on-site support to our clients during the weekends. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our caregiving team to deliver exceptional assistance with daily living activities and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our clients. You will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of Veterans and seniors, while enjoying a rewarding and supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide medication reminders and light housekeeping support.
- Deliver specialized care for clients recovering from surgery or facing health challenges.
- Foster a compassionate and respectful environment that promotes client dignity and comfort.
- Collaborate with the caregiving team to ensure each client's needs and preferences are met.
Qualifications:
You're a great fit if you have the following skills.
- Experience in caregiving or a related field.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Compassionate nature and a commitment to serving others.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of caregivers.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends.
Bonus If You:
- Have certification in first aid and CPR.
- Possess knowledge of dementia and specialized care programs.
- Are familiar with the VA Community Care Network (CCN) and benefits for Veterans.
Employment Type & Availability:
This position is Part-Time, with an availability requirement that includes weekends Saturday and Sunday.
