Job Summary
Join our dedicated caregiving team in a rewarding role that starts early in the morning! As a Caregiver working from 5:45am to 2:15pm, you will play a vital part in providing compassionate, high-quality care to residents in assisted living, retirement homes, or community care settings. Your energetic and attentive approach will ensure residents’ safety, comfort, and well-being throughout your shift. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track residents’ health status
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care strategies, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces
- Document care activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with healthcare teams about residents’ progress
Requirements
- Prior experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and behavior management techniques
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate support to residents with diverse needs
- Valid driver’s license for driving responsibilities related to resident outings or appointments (if applicable)
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is a plus
