Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Provide companionship and social engagement to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
- Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's through specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident rooms and common areas
- Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
- Support residents during outings or appointments by driving or assisting with transportation arrangements when qualified
- Proven experience in senior care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care, and behavioral management techniques
- Ability to perform CPR/First Aid certification is highly desirable
- Familiarity with assisting residents with ADLs and using mobility aids like Hoyer lifts
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Experience in medication administration and vital signs monitoring according to protocols
- Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills tailored to individual needs
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team across all shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
