What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Counselor position at Assistance Plus?
Assistance Plus is seeking a Clinical Counselor to join their growing Substance Use Treatment Team! This is a part time position, working 20 hours per week, and is located at our Winslow office.
The Clinical Counselor supports individuals with an identified Substance Use Disorder. The Clinical Counselor will provide individual and/or group counseling related to substance use disorder. This position will work with the member receiving OHH services to collaborate with other health care, mental health, social services, and community providers to guide the member in accessing additional services and supports that will help the member in their recovery.
Qualifications:Position Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Proof of vehicle insurance at $50/$100K and a valid Maine driver's license
- Intermediate level computer experience
- A current, active certification as one of the following: CADC, LADC, LCSW, LMSW-CC, LCPC, LCPC-C, LMFT, or LMFT-C
- 60 hours of alcohol and drug education within the last 5 years, if not CADC or LADC certified
