Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Front Desk / Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Frisco, TX. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service to patients, manage front desk operations, and assist medical staff with clinical tasks to ensure smooth and efficient office workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in patients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient records accurately.
• Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries.
• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
• Assist healthcare providers during patient exams and procedures as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and clinical areas.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and data entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.

Work Environment

This position is based in a medical office setting in McAllen, TX. The role requires standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of medical supplies or equipment.
