About the Role
You will lead the development of our core applications and collaborate with our team to develop groundbreaking technology and address our customers' financial challenges. This is a unique opportunity to significantly impact Asseta's future and the financial industry.
This job is 100% on-site in our NYC Headquarters.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, end-to-end production-level software to make complex data accessible through enterprise-class applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to refine technical requirements and rapidly develop prototypes to assess feasibility.
- Architect and implement backend services and APIs to support front-end applications.
- Optimize database performance, ensure data integrity, and manage relational database schemas.
- Ensure application security and data privacy by implementing best practices and adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives to continuously improve team processes.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience designing and implementing full-stack web applications using Python, React, and TypeScript.
- Strong front-end skills with a keen product and design sense, ensuring detailed UI/UX polish.
- Proficiency in API integration and front-end data visualization.
- Extensive experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure, including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control using Git.
- Experience working in financial systems and accounting a plus

- Expected salary range of $140,000-$180,000 plus equity
