What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative & Client Service Associate position at Asset Management Group Inc?
Build a Career Helping Families Feel Confident About Their Financial Future
Asset Management Group is an established independent wealth management and financial planning firm. We are looking for a warm, dependable, and highly organized professional who enjoys helping people, bringing order to details, and following responsibilities through to completion.
This is an important position within our firm. You will help ensure that client requests are handled thoughtfully, records are accurate, deadlines are met, and our Financial Planners have the support needed to serve our clients well.
At least two years of relevant experience in a client-service, relationship-management, administrative, or operations role within an RIA, financial planning, wealth management, risk management, or similar professional-services firm is preferred.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and process account documents and transfers
- Maintain accurate client records and CRM workflows
- Coordinate client requests, appointments, and follow-up
- Organize information used in financial planning
- Track deadlines and outstanding commitments
- Learn and use our custodial and financial-planning systems
- Support Financial Planners and other members of the team
- Help improve our client-service and administrative processes
Who Will Thrive Here
You may be a strong fit if you:
- Enjoy working in a small office
- Pick up new tasks quickly
- Take pride in being organized, accurate, and dependable
- Enjoy helping clients and coworkers
- Communicate with warmth and professionalism
- Ask thoughtful questions rather than making assumptions
- Remain calm when priorities change
- Follow assignments through to completion
- Enjoy learning new systems and improving how work gets done
- Want to be part of a small, supportive team where your contribution is visible and appreciated
We particularly value people who combine competence with kindness, confidence with humility, and initiative with good judgment.
As you demonstrate knowledge, judgment, initiative, and strong follow-through, your responsibilities can expand into client relationships, operations, paraplanning, financial planning, and potentially CFP® certification.
Experience Required
At least two years of relevant experience in client service, administration, relationship management, or operations within an RIA, financial-planning, wealth-management, risk-management, or similar professional-services firm is required.
Experience with investment custodians, CRM systems, account administration, or financial-planning technology is helpful but not required.
Training and Growth
The position begins with learning the administrative and operational foundation of our business. As you develop knowledge, judgment, and confidence, you may take on additional responsibilities in client relationships, operations, office management, paraplanning, or financial planning—depending on your interests and abilities.
You do not need to want to become a Financial Planner to build a valued and rewarding career with us.
Our Culture
We believe success is rarely accidental. It comes from learning, perseverance, good judgment, strong relationships, and consistently doing the little things well.
Helping other people achieve their goals can be one of the best ways to achieve your own.
What We're Looking For
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to learn concepts and technology quickly
- Professional, polished, and comfortable interacting with others
- Positive, collaborative, and client-focused
- Curious, dependable, and interested in continued professional growth
If you are capable, optimistic, motivated to succeed, enjoy helping others, and believe there is always something new to learn, we would genuinely like to meet you. We hope to find someone who wants to become a trusted and important member of our firm for many years.
