We are seeking an Area Director of Sales to lead onsite sales strategy and revenue growth onsite at Assembly Food Hall while providing strategic leadership and mentorship across the broader Food Hall Co portfolio, specifically Legacy Hall in Plano.
Based in Nashville, this role carries the primary sales goal for Assembly Food Hall, where we focus on far more than simply events. Assembly is a destination for live entertainment, cultural programming, brand activations, tourism, community connection, and large-scale experiences that define the energy of downtown Nashville.
This is a highly visible leadership role designed for a hospitality sales professional who combines big-picture thinking with operational excellence, relationship-driven selling, and a passion for experiential hospitality. The ideal candidate understands how to drive high-volume event business while simultaneously building systems, coaching teams, refining processes, and shaping the long-term sales vision of a growing hospitality brand.
What You’ll Do
· Lead all private event sales initiatives for Assembly Food Hall, including rooftop venues, concerts, corporate events, social celebrations, brand activations, full buyouts, and large-scale experiences
· Carry and achieve the primary revenue and sales goals for Assembly Food Hall in Nashville
· Oversee and mentor extended sales teams across Food Hall Co properties, including Legacy Hall in Plano
· Provide strategic direction to market-level sales managers while partnering closely with on-site operational leadership teams
· Architect annual sales plans, forecasting models, KPI tracking, reporting structures, SOPs, audits, and training programs across the portfolio
· Collaborate with marketing teams on innovative promotions, partnerships, programming, and revenue-driving campaigns
· Identify new business opportunities and position Assembly Food Hall as the premier entertainment and events venue in Nashville
· Serve as a brand champion on property and be instrumental in developing cross-departmental communication, collaboration, and operational leadership
· Deliver a highly personalized, high-touch client experience from inquiry through execution
· Cultivate meaningful relationships with corporate clients, agencies, tourism partners, hotels, entertainment groups, nonprofits, universities, and local tastemakers
· Lead site tours, client presentations, proposal development, negotiations, and contract execution with professionalism and confidence
· Mentor, inspire, and develop high-performing sales talent while fostering a collaborative, hospitality-first culture
· Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, industry conferences, and community activations
· Travel periodically to portfolio markets for training, leadership development, sales strategy alignment, and team support
· Drive revenue growth through proactive outbound sales, strategic partnerships, repeat business, and community engagement
· Partner closely with operations, culinary, entertainment, and marketing teams to ensure seamless event delivery and exceptional guest satisfaction
What We’re Looking For
· 5 years of hospitality, entertainment, venue, lifestyle, or experiential sales leadership experience
· Proven success driving large-scale event revenue and managing high-volume sales pipelines
· Experience overseeing multi-unit, regional, or portfolio-level sales initiatives preferred
· Strong understanding of experiential hospitality and premium guest service
· Exceptional communication, leadership, presentation, and relationship-building skills
· Existing network within Nashville hospitality, tourism, entertainment, corporate, or event communities strongly preferred
· Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment
· Experience building systems, training teams, and implementing operational processes across departments
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with multiple moving pieces
· Passion for music, food, nightlife, culture, and creating memorable experiences
