Assabet Technical Institute (ATI), part of Assabet Community Education (ACE), is seeking a skilled and motivated Plumbing Instructor to lead our Tier I Plumbing Code & Theory program. This course is designed for adult learners and high school graduates beginning their pathway into the plumbing trade.
The instructor will deliver a comprehensive program that blends code-based instruction with hands-on foundational training, preparing students for entry into registered apprenticeships and long-term career success in the plumbing industry.
Program Description
The Tier I Plumbing program provides:
110 hours of plumbing and gas code theory
80 hours of hands-on lab instruction
OSHA 10 Construction Certification
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, industry-aligned instruction in plumbing code, theory, and foundational skills
Provide hands-on training aligned with real-world plumbing practices
Prepare students for OSHA-10 certification
Track and document student attendance, progress, and competency
Maintain a safe, organized, and professional lab environment
Communicate regularly with ATI/ACE staff regarding student progress and program needs
Support student readiness for apprenticeship pathways and workforce entry
Participate in course setup, breakdown, and end-of-course reporting
